Heather listened and heard me with my concerns about a change in my breathing. Heather advocated for me, and within a short while, my surgeon presented to my room to inform me he was sending me for chest CT. The CT scan was (+) for a pulmonary embolus. Heather is a FANTASTIC, informed, involved, and caring patient advocate. She should be commended for her caring, patient advocacy, her way of making patients feel at ease when they are feeling their worst, and her knowledge of not only nursing skills but of her individual patients and their needs.
