So, I was transferred from another facility because it was believed that I had a brain bleed. When I arrived at Arnot I was met by Mrs. Simmers with the biggest warm smile ever. While in my mind, I'm freaking out by the news I was given. But she was calm and collected and made me calm and collected. In those following minutes of my arrival, the nurses that draw your blood had a hard time getting blood out of me, and, of course, it was painful as it was anxiety and all. She helped me breathe through it. She was very adamant about my safety throughout my whole stay at Arnot. Needless to say, we need more nurses like her. As I watched her do her job not just with me but with other patients as well (I had a clear view of her station), she did it with the most profound respect and safety of us all, and I cannot thank her enough for what she did for me. So, thank you very much, Heather. You truly are one of the greats!

Note: This is Heather's 2nd DAISY Award!

Thank you, Heather, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
