July 2022 Honoree
Heather Terlouw, RN
ARU had a patient who required an IV amiobolus. ARU RNs staffed that day did not have experience administering amino that route and were concerned for safety. Heather was the 6th-floor charge nurse and was more than willing to come down to help. She had that patient the day prior on 6. Heather was so kind and compassionate towards ARU Staff needing extra assistance. Nurses should never be afraid to reach out for help especially when it comes to patient safety. Heather deserves to be recognized for setting standards for how RNs can be kind to each other.
Thank you, Heather, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
