Heather's nomination: "Started here as a volun"teen", so tiny she was hardly seen. Off to college to get a degree, there was never time for "me, me, me". Started working up at OHSU, but finally made it back to the town of moo. Showed us her stuff on the Med/Surg floor, then got her chance to go thru the ICU door. Always calm, focused and gives great patient care, understanding, knowledgeable and always fair. The ability to work and play on all the teams, made her perfect to sew up the supervisor seam. She is able to accept all that comes her way, energizing the whole hospital throughout the day. Doing all this she still achieved her master, which makes her keep things going all the faster. She knows the university policies, techniques and rules, lets you accomplish your outcome and use you own tools. She is always calm and perceptive in meeting patient needs, and always mentoring and cultivating next year's seeds. Understands imperfection, talent and is never lazy, she has all the qualities of the DAISY."
