Heather came in on her day off to visit and sit with a patient who was involved in a motor vehicle accident which had taken her mother's life. The patient's family was stuck in a blizzard in Denver, CO and could not get to FMC. Heather sat with this patient all day long to talk to her and to just be with this patient who had no one else by her side and who had experienced traumatic life changing events.
