I can’t thank you enough, Heather. You have made an impact felt far beyond the walls of my room.
I have been hospitalized now for almost three weeks and hopefully on the full and permanent mend. I usually wake up to the sound of knocks and people in and out at high rates of speed. But today was different. But the way it was different was almost so perfect. Today was the first day that I woke up feeling better, both physically and mentally, with a true excitement for the day ahead.

A lady walked in and introduced herself as Nurse Heather. We had such a positive and vibrant conversation about her plan with me for the day, followed by a natural segway into the more positive-filled conversation. It was unlike anything I’ve experienced thus far. With two recent surgeries that have left me with a lot of “needs” and “questions,” even with her other patients receiving the same care, she would get back to me so quickly with such a smile and energy that it made me want to work harder myself. And that’s what I did today! I can’t thank you enough, Heather. You have made an impact felt far beyond the walls of my room. I took a piece of your energy that I will use in my daily life. That is the true recovery. You rock for that! Thank you so much!
