Even though we only had Heather for the first couple days of B's stay, we recognized from the very start that she treated her patients as though they were her kids. She made sure that all of us had anything we needed, especially since she knew we were probably going to be here a while. She was always very attentive to everything that B said and always took notes of anything that might be important to her.
Heather also kept a close tab on his meds and how he was responding to them. Even during the night when he was asleep, special attention was always taken in the location of his IV and the hose.
Heather always had a smile and was very professional in all aspects of her work. It was great to see that all the nurses who tended to B were top notch but Heather stood a notch above the rest. We really appreciate all that she and the rest of the staff did for our boy. When we went to leave, he said he wanted to be a nurse!
