When it comes to recognizing an extraordinary Nurse Manager, I must nominate this person. This person is what BayCare stands for and leads with all our BayCare Values. They have taken on numerous projects, and all have been extremely successful, leading us to positive outcomes and results. This person loves their team and goes out of their way to make sure they have all the resources and tools they need to be successful. This person continues to lead the hospital in best practices and patient experience. They are not afraid to work on the unit and help the team out when they need it. They are very visible and always have an open-door policy. I could not be prouder to have this person on our leadership team, and I can't wait to see what the future holds for them as a leader.

Hector is an excellent unit leader and role model who inspires his team. He has developed the trust and respect of his team through his excellent communication and by being their biggest advocate. He advocates for our patients and has participated in numerous projects to improve patient safety and ensure our care is safe and effective. Hector is a joy to be around and lives the BayCare values. He embraces change and can create excitement in others when working on new projects. He is a mentor to the more novice team members and leaders and is always generous with the amount of time he spends helping others including other hospitals. He has frequently been used as a resource for CMU questions. He is considered a Subject Matter Expert. Special kudos to Hector for all his work on the BVH project. He has spent countless hours ensuring that the BVH patients and nursing team will be successful. He embraced the BVH team and made them feel welcome at SJHS. I couldn't be prouder to have such a compassionate Nurse Leader as part of my team.
