Today was an extremely busy day for our unit and Heidi, our PCL, consistently played a supporting role with her 2 North co-workers. She assisted the RN's with admissions, helped pass medication, answered numerous call lights, helped place calls to physicians for orders, etc.
Heidi consistently checks in with all the nurses and techs to make sure they're doing ok. If someone needs assistance, she always jumps in without hesitation. She always makes sure everyone gets a lunch, a bathroom break, and even pushes her team to drink water to stay hydrated! She consistently goes above and beyond in her role as PCL which results in better work flow within the department. She always remains calm and positive, even through the most stressful situations.
Heidi is truly a delight to work with, and absolutely deserving of the DAISY Award.
