Heidi is a nurse who does her job so well without any commotion. She focuses on patient care first, providing good treatment in the milieu on the Behavioral Health unit and in her collaborative work with other members of the patients' Multi-disciplinary Treatment Team. She is a great advocate for the patients, intervening frequently for their best interest and care. Patients like her and her focused, calm, softer approach. She is able to gain rapport to help ease the patients in their transition to the acute care level. Her documentation is meticulous and thorough. In addition, her attendance record is great. For those in leadership, she gives confidence about the care that is being provided to her patients. Her teammates value her and her team approach to work/care of patients.
Finally, Heidi has a strong medical background which is extremely helpful in working with our Behavioral Health patients with an increasing number of medical concerns. It helps everyone's peace of mind that we are doing the right thing for the whole BHU patient.
