April 2012 Honoree
heidi oleary, RN, ADN
On October 5, 2011, I gave birth to a baby boy. After giving birth, I ended up hemorrhaging and was rushed to surgery. During this scary moment in my life, Heidi was my nurse and she stayed with me the whole time and never left my side. I remember almost blacking out and telling Heidi, “Please don’t let me die. I have three kids to take care of.” Heidi told me, “Kim, I will not let that happen.” And she did not let that happen. Because of her, I am here today. When it first happened, I didn’t understand what was going on. She acted very quickly in getting me to hopefully stop bleeding. I am truly blessed she was my nurse that day. She was so calm and reassuring and so compassionate about my well being. I will never forget that day and never forget Heidi. She is truly an amazing nurse. Thank you for having her here.
Thank you, Heidi, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
