Heidi Vande Kamp, RN

I was recently surprised to find out that I was expecting after years of infertility and failed IVF embryo transfers. Heidi walked through this incredible news with me and was always supportive. Heidi quickly responded to portal messages and any questions I had to help calm any anxiety I had about the pregnancy. After experiencing light spotting, I sent a message to my provider. Heidi responded to the portal message within 30 minutes. Within an hour, Heidi had placed an order for an ultrasound and coordinated the visit with Medical Imaging. The ultrasound confirmed my worst fears that there was no heartbeat. The ultrasound technician left the room to contact my provider. Heidi worked with the scheduling team to have me added to the schedule so that I could be seen in the clinic upon leaving Medical Imaging.

When Heidi came out to take me to the vitals room, she immediately wrapped me in a hug while apologizing for the terrible news. She did not make me uncomfortable; she simply let me experience all the emotions I was feeling. She got me into an exam room, and I knew I was right where I needed to be because of Heidi's unwavering compassion. She is an incredible nurse and one of the greatest assets at PRHC. I will never forget or take for granted the kindness she demonstrated through the entire journey. She was there for the highs and lows, showing her support throughout.
