I brought my neighbor to ER, and this wasn't my first time doing this, as he has mental health issues and, on occasion, causes a disturbance to neighbors and tenants in my area.​ ​ What this nurse did was show empathy and compassion, as well as give us resources. She encouraged not only my neighbor but me as well to keep advocating for him as well as others who have been overlooked because they speak another language. ​ ​ I often think that this person is someone's son or daughter...and what if it were mine...how would I want others to treat them. What Heidi did was treat us with respect. She treated us how I would want my family to be treated.
