I was ten days into recovery from a hernia repair surgery when I experienced a severe blockage in my bowel system. I was admitted into the West Wing of St. Cloud Hospital and had an NG tube inserted into my stomach. It was probably one of the most painful and terrible things I have ever gone through. It was eleven long days, and I had many nurses, but none stood out like Heidy. She constantly made sure I was getting the best care possible. Her compassion and empathy for my situation was undeniable. Heidy is the true epitome of what a nurse should be.
