Diana Ware is working on developing a new initiative for "Nurse Day" during Mental Health Orientation and planning a 2024 Competency Fair for the Augusta Campus staff. Her forward-thinking mindset and dedication to the continuous improvement of our campus are truly noteworthy.
I am writing to recommend Nurse Helen "Diana" Ware enthusiastically for the prestigious DAISY Award. As a dedicated nurse within our organization, Diana Ware has consistently demonstrated exceptional skills, unwavering commitment, and a genuine passion for providing the highest level of care to our patients. Diana Ware has been selected to share her inspiring story and promote mental health emergency number 988 as part of Commissioner Tanner's initiative. Her ability to connect with patients on a personal level and advocate for mental health awareness has been truly remarkable. She has shown great empathy and compassion, making a significant impact on the lives of those she interacts with.
Furthermore, Diana has actively contributed to the professional development of her colleagues by teaching Treatment Mall classes, facilitating Code Blue Drills five times a month, and providing SBAR training. Her commitment to enhancing the knowledge and skills of her fellow nurses is commendable and has undoubtedly improved the overall quality of patient care in our organization. In addition, Diana has taken the initiative to lead efforts in correcting Code Carts on the Augusta Campus, ensuring that essential medical supplies are readily available for emergencies. Her meticulous attention to detail and dedication to patient safety are evident in her work. Moreover, Diana Ware has gone above and beyond her regular duties by leading an effort to provide nurse-led groups across the Augusta Campus on the weekends. Her innovative approach, such as creating medication management word scramble, word search, and BINGO activities, has made patient education engaging and effective.
Recognizing the importance of fall prevention, Diana independently created Fall Protocol posters to increase awareness among staff and patients. Her proactive approach to addressing patient safety concerns demonstrates her commitment to providing a safe and secure environment for all. As if her achievements were not impressive enough, Diana also attended a nurse recruitment event to promote our organization and attract talented nurses to join our team. Her commitment to the growth and success of our organization is truly inspiring.
