Helen recently took the time to help a patient in need. A patient presented to the department covered in bed bugs. The patient was going to be sent home and re-scheduled for the following week. When Helen received the news of this, she didn't miss a beat. She immediately took the patient to the ER decontamination room and scrubbed him head-to-toe so he could get his biopsy done that day to assist in a timely diagnosis. Helen goes above and beyond caring for all patients with whom she comes into contact. This type of empathy and extraordinary patient care is just one example of many that we see from Helen on a weekly basis.
