I had the pleasure of being served by Henry Liang for several nights. He's incredibly caring, compassionate, and very easy to talk to. There was one evening when I had to use the restroom and couldn't reach my call button in time. I experienced a sudden, severe onset of pain and ended up urinating on myself, the bed, and the floor. I was distressed when Henry arrived and very embarrassed. Henry put me at ease and immediately administered meds to reduce my pain. He waited patiently with me for maybe 40 minutes until IV pain meds were approved. He has wonderful bedside manner and wiped my tears when I couldn't do it myself. Eventually, he was able to put me in a more relaxed position, but it took almost two hours until he could properly clean my room, bed, and me. It's embarrassing and disheartening to be unable to care for oneself. Henry calmly and cheerfully does his job but goes above and beyond to provide the emotional support patients need when their alone and suffering. Providence's patients are so lucky to have him.
