Henry Tieu is an invaluable resource, not only to 5C, but to the Critical Care department as a whole. Henry demonstrates the values Reverence, Integrity, Compassion, Excellence, Quality and Teamwork in his daily practice. He truly is a role model that leads by example. He is an inspiration to everyone he interacts with and a gold standard for all to aspire to. I have personally never met a more phenomenal nurse! I can truly say I am a better nurse because I get to work beside Henry! Henry has an appetite for knowledge and a thirst for excellence!

I have been a nurse for 17 years and have never known a more competent nurse than Henry. He embodies excellence and a calm, gentle intelligence. Henry is often the funniest person in the room, bringing needed and welcome levity to sometimes difficult situations. I have never known a more quality-centered nurse. Henry doesn't guess, he learns. He investigates and researches. He is always well-versed in the latest evidence. The compassion Henry brings is quiet, genuine and calming to his patients and his colleagues. He genuinely cares. These are not unusual qualities seen in nurses, however, Henry simply shines. He is loved by his colleagues. He takes exceptional quality care of his patients. He is a bright light in the world.
