I noticed this student advocating for a patient who was being overlooked by nursing staff during a clinical rotation. This student nurse immigrated to America with her family at a young age and has always dreamt of advocating for minorities in healthcare. Her display of compassion when providing care for patients is remarkable, and truly one of a kind. When I noticed this student advocating for a patient, I thought to myself how often patients may be overlooked in the hospital because of how busy healthcare staff can get. She made it her mission to ensure that patients and all patients receive equal care. The nursing world needs more TRULY compassionate nurses, and Heyab is exactly that and more.
