They handled my concerns and addressed my thoughts and feelings including making me feel I was not a patient but family.
I was transferred from another facility for an emergency procedure. After being released from ICU I was transferred to 6th Schiedt where I met Nurse Olimbija Navalta and Nurse Hilda Casanova. Their work ethics, professionalism, and pride were evident and appreciated. They handled my concerns and addressed my thoughts and feelings including making me feel I was not a patient but family. I noticed it was the overall treatment of all their patients who in my opinion became family to them. I adored the opportunity to have them take care of my health issues. I looked forward to seeing their smiling faces and assisting me in getting back to my normal routine. I was a police officer for 46 years and rose to the rank of Captain. I value professionalism and pride and communication. Too many of our young professionals look at their employment as a job not one of responsibility. Well Hilda and Olimbija are not two of these types of people. They deserve to be recognized for their service. Lastly when I think of PRIDE it reminds me to be professional, show respect, integrity, dedication, and enjoy my chosen profession. My hat goes off to both of these fantastic nurses.
