Himani took care of an extremely ill patient who had undergone multiple procedures with complications causing a very long length of stay and very high levels of anxiety and discomfort. It came time for the patient to undergo another important surgery and the patient refused. Himani took the extra time and sat with the patient to explain the surgery and why it was so important for her recovery. She answered all of her questions and provided such amazing comfort that the patient's anxiety decreased, and she agreed to the surgery, but only if Himani could walk her down to the OR. Himani did just that and reassured her that she was in good hands and that she would be waiting to care for her when she returned. Himani showed such amazing compassion and tremendously impacted this patient's experience and plan of care!
