Hollie is a Godsend and played a pivotal role in my husband's recovery.
My husband had been cleared by one of the neuro consultants to have the fall risk lifted. Unfortunately, that job is for physical therapy, whereby they put you through a series of tests, enter them in the computer, and hope you get the magic number.
Physical Therapy was unable to conduct the test on Tuesday afternoon. This was frustrating because my husband needed to be walking on his own as much as possible to gain back his stamina.
Enter Hollie. She understood his plight, but rules are rules.
What she did, however, in between caring for her other patients, she went above and beyond the call of duty to go to my husband's room and took him for walks.
I mean, every chance she got she would walk him if he was awake, starting at 7:30 pm.
Quite honestly, I attribute a lot of the success my husband had in passing his "physical therapy test" to Hollie being willing to take the time to take him on walks.
