Hollie has been our in-home nurse for our son for two years. Initially, I was very hesitant to allow a stranger into our home to care for our son, and I thought no one would/could care for him like me. After two years of having her, I can't imagine our life without her! Our son loves her so much and feels like she is a second mom. They have such a special relationship, and he wishes she could come over even on days off.

Hollie routinely shows up to work 5-10 minutes early and is always willing to stay late if we need her to. She goes to middle school with him every day and assists him with all his needs during the day. She knows all his favorite things and has learned how to play the games he enjoys. She will even go outside to play soccer or kickball on a hot summer day. Hollie comes along to family gatherings to help with R so we can spend extra time enjoying family while R still gets great care and attention. We live on a farm, but Hollie does not. She is always willing to take R out to the barn and pet the pigs, cows, horses, rabbits, cats, and dogs. She has amazing communication with us and is quick to contact us if R is showing any symptoms of illness or distress. Since having her, R has required fewer hospitalizations and less sickness than prior to having her care for him. None of us could imagine going back to life without our favorite nurse, Hollie!
