It is impossible to summarize in a few words what kind of nurse Hollie Watts is. From day one Hollie has continuously shown empathy and provided support whenever needed.
We were given the option to have the radiotherapy either in Leicester or Northampton. In order to be consistent with her care, we felt that Northampton was the best option. We were at first a little apprehensive whether this was the right decision until we met Hollie and the team.
From the very first day, she went above and beyond to help and make accommodations.
We thought that the location would cause a problem, as we live in Leicester. However, this was not the case, as Hollie guided us every step of the way, providing us with her full support and expertise.
The hardest part of the treatment for our mother was radiotherapy. We received wonderful care from everyone; however, Hollie was the one who stood out from the rest. During and after she kept Mum positive and guided her through the process. She was attentive and always considered Mum's feelings before advising. Anytime we needed support or advice she was easily reachable.
We cannot express how much we appreciate her support, especially Mum, who found the whole process very overwhelming.
We are so grateful to have Hollie beside Mum's side. She always had a cheerful manner and took time to explain what was happening and when tests would be done. She is efficient but never rushed away when we had questions or concerns. Throughout the process, she always provided her expertise, loving, attentive care and most importantly kept Mum's spirits high.
She showed so much passion and love for her job that we never felt she was just doing her job, as she went beyond this. That love showed through every minute when she was with us and contributed to our mother's recovery and progress.
When any problems occurred or were anticipated she took corrective action to solve them, ensuring care and treatment was not affected. During the whole journey, Hollie has been exceptionally caring, compassionate and efficient. She was always professional and had an exceptional level of knowledge and experience, which was reflected in her dedication to nursing.
Our family will always be grateful for her nursing skills, kindness, and wonderful care, she is continuously given our mother.
