June 2015 Honoree
holly behm, RN
Holly is a nurse that just always keeps on giving. She goes above and beyond each and every day. Holly's interactions with patients and families are a perfect example of how it should be done. Holly's role as case manager/RN assists cardiac staff in having the best possible plan of care post discharge. Holly has numerous times gone to a store to pick up requests for patients on hospice and even for those just stuck in the hospital a bit longer than usual.
Another example of her going that "extra mile" is when we had a WWII veteran in the hospital and she arranged special visits from the volunteer staff and the VA and had a flag placed at his bedside to honor his service to our country and his volunteer service to our hospital. It's the little things in life that make a big difference.
Holly's caring, compassionate, and exemplary attitude make her a very deserving recipient of The DAISY Award.
