Holly C Marks, RN, MSN

We, the Plant Facilities teammates, would like to nominate nurse Holly Marks for the DAISY Award for assisting one of our fellow teammates while having a serious medical issue while at work. He had not been feeling well during the day while working, and near the end of the shift, his supervisor called Holly Marks to come to the shop to check on our teammate. He was ready to go home with some assistance, but after Holly evaluated his condition, she insisted he must go to the ER, which he did. After tests were run, it was determined he had suffered a stroke and was immediately given medication to treat his condition. Because of Holly's willingness to come to the shop, evaluate his condition, and insist that he go to the ER, he was able to receive immediate help to address the stroke he had, and he was able to return to work quickly with no obvious signs he ever had a stroke. We, with much appreciation, are very thankful Holly Marks took time from her busy day in her unit to come to our department to assist our teammate when he was having a serious medical condition, and because of that, our teammate was able to recover quickly and return to work. We thank Holly for her timely act of compassion and caring, which made a tremendous difference in our teammate's life and well-being.
