I had the opportunity to see how compassionate and caring Holly was when our brother was diagnosed with Stage IV throat cancer. I traveled to Minneapolis from Florida for ten days to be with our family during our brother's surgery. During that time, I saw the sensitivity and support from Holly, which helped our family through this very difficult time. She always remained calm, professional and courteous, even in times of high stress. I was impressed with her professional interactions with the staff assigned to our brother and the respect her peers demonstrated for her.
Nursing is a physically, mentally, and emotionally draining job, but Holly found a way to balance her work/home life. She never complained about having to work long hours. She always had time to discuss our brother's progress and she made sure everything ran smoothly. I am very proud, thankful and blessed to have Holly. Holly went above and beyond to care for our brother while he was a patient at HCMC and when he returned home during his recovery phase. My family and I cannot thank her enough for everything she has done for us and our brother. She is the "center" of our DAISY. Thanks, Holly, we love you!
