I couldn't have asked for anyone more caring and compassionate to be with me before surgery than this wonderful nurse. She was my support team in the OR! Her gentle manner and sincere desire to comfort and reassure me helped tremendously to calm and ease my fears. As I sat on the table while another nurse performed an epidural, Holly noticed the tears in my eyes. She simply asked, "What is it, L?" "What do you need?" I replied, "Could you just hold me?" And with that, she stood and held me until the epidural was completed. She'll never know how much that meant to me, and I'll always be so grateful! Without question, Holly's gentle, understanding, and compassionate care distinguish her among so many who devote their lives to serving others in the medical field. Holly is well-deserving of The DAISY Award because of her exemplary care and compassion.
