Holly Hyso is a new nurse who has been with our organization for just over one year. Holly is a "legacy" at our facility as her mother is a registered nurse and has worked within the facility for many years in different capacities. We are thankful Holly chose our facility to start her nursing career. She has adjusted to a busy labor and delivery unit with grace and resilience.
Holly received several DAISY Award Nomination ballots. There were themes in her nominations, all behaviors that we recognize as an "excellent nurse." Holly is compassionate, anticipating the needs of our mothers in labor or adjusting to the needs of a newborn. Holly is empathetic and has strong communication skills to guide our patients. Holly understands the importance of a smile and how that impacts the patients she cares for. Her smile is welcoming, signaling to our patients that she is approachable and providing the environment to ask questions about their care. Holly is an asset to our facility and we look forward to facilitating her nursing career through education, support, and recognition for exceptional nursing.
