My dad came into the hospital very ill with a partial bowel obstruction. He felt horrible and as a family member it was very stressful and there were many uncertainties. From the moment Holly introduced herself, I knew we were going to be well cared for. Holly said to my dad who was very ill, "Hello K, today is my lucky day because you are my patient." Her kindness, love, happiness, and calm spirit resonated in the room. My dad looked immediately comforted by her despite still not feeling well. She is the kindest and most compassionate nurse I have ever worked with. She discussed all sorts of age-related issues with ease and without any judgement. She discussed a plan of care, educating us all re: abdominal obstructions and protocol course of actions. She obviously loves her job and it is so apparent in the kindness, patience, and love that she uses when she interacts with her patients and families. Thank you Holly for your tender care, happy attitude, and excellent nursing care that you provided my dad.
