Holly's compassion, caring, and understanding to a patient was exemplified this weekend. Holly was off work and was scrolling Facebook when she came across a young woman who needed assistance with her bathroom. The young woman had been seen in our emergency room earlier in the day with an arterial bleed from an AV fistula site. The patient had received two units of blood and was discharged home. The patient was exhausted. She was concerned about her bathroom and copious amounts of blood that was splattered about. Holly private messaged the woman. Holly drove from her home (an hour away) to clean this lady's bathroom. She scrubbed for over an hour and a half.
Holly is a special breed of nurse. She is creative, passionate, and thoughtful. She will make the worst situation for a patient better. She sees everything for what it is, accepts it and does not judge others. She exemplifies what a nurse should be. Thank you, Holly, for everything you do for all of our patients every day. You are an amazing nurse!
