All of the Nurses who cared for our mother were wonderfully compassionate, but Holly stood out. She shared with us that her father had died in hospice care and how that inspired her to become a Nurse. Several times she mentioned the "soft spot" she has for her comfort care patients, and we could see that she really meant it.

Someone in the condition Mom was in would have been easy to ignore. She didn't require much medicine or care, but Holly took care to spend time in her room ensuring that all of us (but especially Mom) were comfortable. She is the definition of compassion and caring and we should all hope to be so lucky to have someone like her taking care of us in our last moments.
