When I came to L&D I was terrified. My last delivery was traumatic in every way possible. My daughter and I both almost lost our lives (in a different hospital) and mistakes were made that should have never been made that led to long-term problems for both of us. I couldn’t imagine how I could have possibly gone in to have my son and something not go wrong.

When I met Holly she instantly changed the narrative. She walked in while I was trying to control my emotions and she immediately went right to work. She listened to my concerns, went above and beyond to make sure I had the best team, made sure everyone was aware of what had happened and why I was so scared and stayed with me the whole time. She knew exactly what to do to help me get through delivering my son. She was right there with me, while she could be, during my entire c-section, and came back to me the moment she was able to keep me updated, calm, and make sure I was okay.

I can tell you with absolute confidence if Holly had not been my nurse that day, I would not have had the delivery experience I had. Even once I was no longer her patient she still cared enough to keep up with how well my son and I were doing and came and checked on us. It is people like Holly that make Baptist at Little Rock what it is. I wish there was something more I could do to show Holly how much we appreciate her kindness, patience, and determination to take care of us. She touched our lives in such a special way, and will always be a part of our son's birth story.
