My husband’s nurse was kind, compassionate and very caring. She explained the procedures being carried out. When my youngest son, an ER doctor, phoned, she answered every question. It was the small things. She noticed that my husband seemed very warm and got a fan for his room. When he was extubated, she seemed as pleased as we were. Her cheerful, compassionate care was exemplary. Her kindness to my son and myself will always be remembered. Her care was efficient, but we were real people to her and it was apparent in her touch with my husband and her extraordinary patience with us.
