I floated today from 7 North and was immediately overwhelmed by the assignment and how busy the patients on 8 North were. Not even after an hour of being on the floor Holly had come by to ask if I needed help with vitals and gave me her extension (again). As the day went on I saw Holly running back and forth. I asked her if she needed help and she replied "no, it's okay, I'm actually doing this for another nurse". I really was astonished of how selfless her actions were and how hard she was working to ensure that all of her staff was happy and not overworked. Holly helped relieve many nurses so that we could each get our lunch breaks and did not complain one bit. Her smile and attitude brightened everyones day and made this float one of the best I have had, even though it was a busy day. I appreciate the constant care and encouragement that this charge nurse provides to the team and 8 North is very lucky to have her!
