Holly is a designated charge nurse on 4 North. Holly always goes above and beyond what is asked of her. She also runs our Unit Based Council, helps out with staff scheduling, is a preceptor to new nurses and new charge nurses, and consistently organizes fun group get-togethers for all the staff on 4 north. When I first started out as a new grad 4 years ago Holly was one of my preceptors and I learned so much about nursing from her. Now four years later she has been teaching me how to be a relief charge nurse. She is a wealth of knowledge and is always willing to help. If I ever have a question Holly is my most trusted resource. Rarely does she not know how to solve any problem that comes up on the floor. If there is ever conflict between staff and/or with patients and visitors, Holly handles it in a way that promotes collaboration and support. She is able to see each nurse's strengths and uses their individual qualities in deciding the best patient/nurse assignment. Holly is an indispensable asset to our organization and is vital to keeping the ship afloat.
