Hong brightens my days by listening and caring about all the details of getting me well.
I was very fortunate to get Hong as my daytime nurse for the three days I was at the VA hospital for an infected foot and leg. Hong has the fairly rare capability to be an attentive listener even while she is doing the essential work to take care of me. She has found important things and put them in my records so I would be treated for them. An example is found that I had not received a tetanus shot for the cuts and bloody gashes on my foot. She called it in to be picked up in the emergency care and I received my shot making me safe.
Also, Hong brightens my days by listening and caring about all the details of getting me well. She makes me feel very special even though I know she has many patients to take care of; I think she is such an excellent nurse. You don’t want another hospital to steal Hong away from the VA. Hong’s bright and happy smile even shines through her mask.
