Hope has done so much for me since I’ve been here.
Hope always had a smile on her face to start. I was having a hard time and was totally overwhelmed, and she could see it just by looking at me or me sharing how bad my anxiety was due to having to find housing, a storage unit for my things, car/transportation issues, just the full gambit. Hope said that she thought Three Bridges would be maybe someone extra to talk to as they would be peers who had similar issues. I was reluctant to call but did. They could not guarantee that someone could come out tonight, but for sure, tomorrow. Hope asked if she could call on my behalf after signing a release to see if she could get them out tonight. She was able to do it in an hour.
They showed up and talked to me first to get to know me and then to start working on all my problems. We needed some resources looked up on the internet, and Hope jumped right in and got those for me before our meeting was even done. She said, “I was just doing my job,” when I thanked her, but for me, she was my lifesaver or rather angel or my “Hope” when I was in complete despair. She is a wonderful nurse and person and will be able to help many on the unit as they flow through, and because of her, I would recommend Aspirus even more to others.
Hope has done so much for me since I’ve been here. She has made calls to my “recovery coach”, looked up numbers for housing, helped me fill out an application for Mission House, borrowed me an “A.A.” book, and give me an “A.A.” information folder. Most importantly, she was on top of my medications, health, and wellbeing.
