Hope was recognized by a family member of a patient she cared for in the Emergency Room. The patient's family member recognized Hope for "communicating well" and giving the family reassurance that their loved one was "in good hands." This family member stated that "her husband was brought into the ER late this evening by EMS for seizures. She was 3 hours away and unable to make it to the hospital because it was fiercely snowing outside." She spoke with Hope on the phone several times to provide medical history and was reassured during their conversation that their loved one was right near the nurses' station and that she would give extra good care to him. This family member claims she was very upset about not being able to be there with her husband and Hope said all the right things at that time and she felt her husband was in good hands. She continued to say "I since learned that Hope is a new nurse. She should be very proud of how well she communicated and for the level of attention I was provided late that night."
