I can already tell that this student is going to be an asset to the nursing profession. Hope Miller makes the connections of what she learns in class to clinical. She is also very outgoing and goes out of her way for her patients. There have been times that Hope would just go and sit and talk with her patients when she had a moment to do so. Today in clinical, while other students were looking up information about their patients, Hope got done early. Her patient's wife asked if her husband could walk around in the hall with her. Hope went and set up portable oxygen. She told the wife to stay seated, and Hope held the elderly man's hand and walked him down the hall. I could hear her encouraging the patient and being interactive with him. It was a moment that showed this student's true color of being caring and compassionate.
