Being in the hospital is a stressful time for everyone. Hsiumei made my mom laugh during moments when she wanted to cry. She helped change my mom instead of just waiting for the nurse aid. She listened to my mom when even I and my sister wouldn't. She encouraged my mom that everything would be okay by telling her a story of her friend that was "just like you". She included us in all medicines and processes so we are confident about her care. She even helped us catch the wrong medicine that was on her chart by mistake.

Nurses like Hsiumei make me wish she was the doctor. My mom loves Hsiumei so much she wanted to stay in her care - my mom wanted to leave the moment she got here, so this is BIG!
