From first contact with Huey, she demonstrated all of the attributes of being very deserving of this award. Her passion for her profession is shown in all that she does for her patients. Her empathy for her patients is evidenced in her desire to know more about them, their families, their interests, and their likes and dislikes. Her knowledge of medicine and the care required for each patient helps develop the trust necessary for her patients and their caregivers. She has an infectious smile and a love of life that is admirable and, in many ways, contributes to the healing process that many in her care need. Her love of her profession is evidenced in her demeanor. She greets you with a smile and has contagious positive energy. She exhibits this joy with her co-workers as well. She goes the extra mile and is always there to lend a hand when needed. Her selflessness is demonstrated when asked to assist in other ways or areas. Everyone seems to enjoy working with Huey.
