Hui (Lisa) Liang, RN
I would like to recognize Lisa Liang from the float pool. She has floated to the NICU for many years; she delivers safe, quality care to the infants she is assigned to. If she is a break nurse, she stocks linens and supplies, in addition to offering breaks.
Recently, we had a family in the NICU with a preterm infant who spoke Chinese. Lisa also spoke their language and became a personal contact with the family. Lisa became a nurse whom this family looked forward to seeing and having as a trusted translator. When the baby was discharged, the family stayed in the area for a while before traveling home; Lisa helped them on her days off, finding groceries, laundry services, and other necessities for the baby.
She was also available to answer questions they had regarding baby care and helped get them to appointments. Lisa is a kind and cheerful person and is a great asset to San Joaquin General.
