Nick is an excellent surgery nurse. He exemplifies the compassion and caring that all patients hope to see when they learn they need to have an operation. Nick consistently focuses on meeting the needs not only of his patients but also that of the families as well. He takes his time and is very careful to read all history and patient information so that he can communicate effectively to his team and the doctors. He uses his time management skills and professionalism to prepare each and every individual procedure.
Nick once told me it was his personal goal "that everything is perfect" every time. This is a value in a health care provider that we all should strive to achieve.
Nick has a pleasant and positive demeanor and attitude. He is a true TEAM player. Nick always offers to help others and he is a patient and skilled teacher for a new nurse. He has set very high personal goals for himself. I have had the great privilege to work with him. In my opinion, because of his enthusiasm and genuine respect for nursing and his work, Nick will continue to grow and teach and demonstrate the finest qualities of a nursing profession that are possible.
