Hung took care of me during the most difficult time of my stay and my life. I cannot describe the immense pain I was in after my procedure, but I was not allowed to have anything for pain. This was because I had strokes during my procedure and shock from the blood going back into my brain. I also had to lay flat on my back because of 2 angiogram sites and being on TPA and other blood thinners.
Even though Hung couldn't give me pain medicine, he did everything else he could to help me and make me comfortable. I couldn't feel or move my left side, and besides the pain, I was very scared. My family was too but he spent time with them trying to explain and help them deal with this too. The rest of the night I got sick from the shock, throwing up every 30 minutes all night. Hung never left me. It was dangerous for me throwing up and not being able to sit up, but he was by my side all night.
Hung gave me everything he was allowed to and held my hand and talked to me to calm me down. I felt bad getting sick so much, but his attitude never changed. He was caring and compassionate and professional the entire time. When I stopped getting sick so much, he cleaned me up from the mess the surgeons left me in before his shift was over.
We wouldn't find out until the next day when I finally was stable enough to do another HD MRI that I had 3 strokes. Since that procedure to save my life, it's taken me several months to learn to walk again and move normally. I still don't have all the feeling back, but I can move pretty well. Of all my stays from ER to Rehab, there was only one nurse that stood out above the rest, and I had some great nurses, that one was Hung. I will forever be grateful for the care I received, especially from Hung.
