As I continue on my nursing journey, Ms. Charles’s mentorship and invaluable insights will continue to be key in my foundational framework of professional development.
Ms. Hyacinth Charles possesses all the qualities of a great and extraordinary Director of Nursing. As the director of Ambulatory Care, she is brilliant, innovative, confident, honest, and compassionate. Not only does she supervise the care of our patients, but she also cares about her staff, especially her nurses. When I was on medical leave for more than two years, she constantly checked up on me. There was a time when I became hopeless, as my only option was to retire on disability. Despite those challenges, Ms. Charles was extremely supportive and motivated me not to give up. She was there for me every step of the way. Here I am today, back to work as a Head Nurse at Sickle Cell Practice, and I am extremely grateful for her unwavering support.
