ian crawford, RNFA

Ian has been with us for about a year. He came on board as an operating room nurse. He was eager to learn our system and stepped in every chance he had to help someone. When we had a new doctor come on board he knew there was no evening staff to accommodate at that time. Ian volunteered until they hired a staff nurse for the evenings. He helped in all areas from equipment, supplies, positioning, and needs while assisting the coordinator and scrub tech. While chatting with Ian, come to find out he started out as a scrub tech, went to nursing school and thought it was cool. Now, he is back to his normal schedule and going to school for his RNFA. We have a few already, but Ian helps out everyone in the room before he scrubs in the assistant role for a case. He is always there doing his job to the fullest as well as going out of his way to help others. Being a person who has been in the three roles, scrub, assist, circulate, by far Ian is a perfect candidate. He is awesome all the way around in the operating room. Such a true gentleman at heart with his job as an RNFA. Ian makes all patients feel loved, welcomed and understands their fear.
