Iana is one of the reasons we decided to come back to this hospital. My husband was admitted in 2016 for a severe sickle cell crisis. After being released from ICU, Iana was the nurse that took care of him. Unfortunately, we have returned in 2017 for another severe crisis. My husband received two blood exchanges while in the ICU. During our stay, I ran into Iana and she immediately remembered me. She took the time to inquire about my husband's condition. There are no words to even explain the level of comfort she provided to me at that time. To take it a step further, she then took time out of her day to visit my husband in ICU. At the time my husband was in a lot of pain and under a lot of medication but the moment she walked in, he smiled. A few days later, we returned to the floor and she came to visit us and offered to help. She was not even assigned to us, but she came to check on us. I have never seen another nurse like her. She is definitely an asset to this hospital. Now every time I see this woman I wrap my arms around her. She has truly been our rock through such a difficult time. What an amazing woman and nurse!
