Ida Urata, RN

Ida is the embodiment of the Professional Nurse. She is a patient advocate, compassionate, and kind. Ida is a team player and does not only work as a utilization management care manager RN but continues to go to the emergency room and help out as an ED care manager when needed. Her boldness is intense and recently went to bat for the hospital against a payer and had a denial overturned that was upwards of $200,000 instead of taking the pennies that the payer wanted to offer. That is not the first time that her tenacity and boldness paid off in a large way. I cannot say how valuable Ida is to the team and her patients; it is truly immeasurable. Might I add that she is committed to the hospital and will make her 7-year anniversary in May of 2023. On a personal note, and I am sure that I am not the only one, Ida always makes her co-workers smile and can be counted on to ‘share kindness’.
