My Aunt was in for a relatively minor procedure, however, due to her age and her condition, her 1-2 day stay became 2 weeks. She was in immense pain when trying to walk during physical therapy. I mentioned the swelling in her arm to Idaris and the pain made it difficult to walk. On Sunday, Idaris asked her what type of music she liked. She found some music on her cell phone and proceeded to sing for her in her room; it took the focus off her pain and she was able to concentrate on walking down the hall. Idaris started the walk with the music down low so she could hear it as she started. I'm confident her attention and attitude to what was needed helped my Aunt walk up and back that day. It was the furthest she walked.
